Holography Master Origination Holography master origination is prepared in laboratory by master shooing system that are of two type, 2D/3D or Dot-matrix. Both these method uses laser light, advanced lenses and optics, Silver lining and photosensitive glass. Once the master shooting system creates the image, Holographer records it on the photosensitive glass and coats it with silver layer for electronic forming. After electronic forming we get single piece holography nickel shim which will record holography images and other related information about E-beam or Mole hidden text in 2D/3D or Dot-master effect. This is called master origination. And by the process of electronic forming we can get any number of duplicate nickel copy shims from this master origination. They exist in various colors of image or text on surface in a hologram. They are very shining especially with big rainbow area. They give flip-flop effect and true color image on the surface of 2D holograms because of their property of shininess. 3D master origination design generally contains the two layers in hologram. One layer exists on the surface and second layer is in the background, mid ground or floating. It gives the effect like the flat scenery in a theatrical play, in which all positions are arranged at different distances from the front view that creates the illusion of depth. 2D/3D Holography is extensively getting used on the commercial securities. Consideration of the depth between the levels is the most important features of 2D/3D hologram. A quality 2D/3D hologram sticker carries good visual depth between different layers and shininess on first layer. FLIP-FLOP -------- This is also called as two channel effect of 2D/3D. It is created by 2D/3D master shooting system. Flip-Flop hologram displays two different images when viewed from different viewing angles. When the image is viewed in by changing the angles horizontally or vertically, different images appear in the same hologram. Floating -------- 2D/3D master shooting system also creates the floating impact. By this visual illusion image or text appears to be floating above the surface, which gives the impression as if image has some movement effect in contrast to other positioned hologram images on second layer. Floating image also carries flip-flop effects in case the image has big viewing angle. 2D/3D Kinetic Movement -------- 2D/3D Kinetic movement hologram image is created by minimum three viewing angles (color) lines (images) in a particular sequence. As each line (image) has its own viewing angle, so different lines gives the effect of kinetic movement. Kinetic movement effect created by 2D/3D master shooting system is less effective then created by Dot-matrix master shooting system. Reason is 2D/3D kinetic movement effect is composed of hologram lines and Dot-matrix hologram is made up of millions of dots. True color -------- True Color image is also consisted by 2D/3D master shooting system. True Color Holograms are prepared by high resolution photographic quality artwork. Counterfeiters can't duplicate hologram close to original hologram unless they get the original picture. It is very useful tool for anti-counterfeit vision. Dot Matrix -------- Dot-matrix Hologram master origination is composed by high resolution dot structure (600 DPI appx). In kinetic dot-matrix holography images over a minor area thousands of tiny sub-micron grooves can be viewed under a microscope. Dot-matrix hologram image has a broader viewing angle as compared to other 2D/3D holograms. So it creates fascinating kinetic effects in the holography. The dot-matrix hologram can give the effects of lots many kinetic movements. For security holograms resolution begins at 400 dpi and goes higher to 600 dpi, 1000 dpi and even higher then this. Raising the resolution enhances the cost to produce the master hologram. Larger images also increase expense of production as it increases the number of pixels to be generated. Generally, we can made maximum single dot-matrix unit size and can recombine 50mm*50mm. There are two important hidden text or hidden image feature in holograms. This feature enhances the security of hologram stickers strongly against counterfeit. One is Laser readable hidden text or image. That is also called E-beam hidden text. Second is Mole hidden text or image. E-beam hidden ---- E-beam hidden text or image is a very advanced technology holography tool. It makes hidden image or text directly in hologram master. Hidden image or text is invisible by naked eye and can only be encrypted by laser pointer. So, hidden text or image will be reflected on the sticker when it is pointed by a laser pointer light. Mole hidden text or image security feature ----- Mole hidden text or image hologram which uses the upgraded digital technology. Image or text is encrypted by digital codes to encode each dot of the image. AS in e- beam technology text or image contains unique encrypted images or text which is invisible by the naked eye. It can be reflected by means of decode film when it is covered on the holographic sticker. 2D/3D and Dot-matrix combination------- Hybrid hologram of combining 2D/3D and dot-matrix methods is very effective in giving the result carrying the effect of both the technologies. It creates the brightness and virtual depth of 2D/3D hologram and broader viewing angle of clear movement effect of dot-matrix hologram. This virtual depth and movement effect create an extra-ordinary viewing effects and special security features. We can create the holograms by combining any or all of the mentioned features recombine all hologram features in one master hologram. For example, we can add two hidden image or text feature into 2D/3D and Dot-matrix combination. We can arrange a good design and get the requisite effect but we should always keep it in consideration that all designs are not suitable to combine several hologram features together. Flashlight feature------- These holograms contain the high tech security and dazzling beauty of holograms. It has new technology for security by special beam effect. The flash light appears like a torch and beam comes from the deep background. Beam gets bigger and smaller smoothly with changing the viewing angle. Stereograms Stereogram hologram creates absolute 3D effect of an object or shows a small movie clip like an action sequence. It has a good effect to make people's head image into stereogram. The majority of holograms stickers are in smaller size which is smaller than 70mm*70mm. It has high shininess and premier quality rainbow effect without any wrinkled image. Depending on artwork, we can also work with larger pieces. We can make single holograms image of size maximum 150mm*150mm without recombination. The basic things required to prepare Holography master origination are Photosensitive Glass Master, Silver , Laser light. Step 1 : It involves recording of holographic image on the photosensitive glass master and deliver it for further processing.. Step 2 : To coat the photosensitive glass master with silver layer. Due to this silver coat above the glass master the glass get current conducting. Step 3 : The silver coated glass is to be placed to electronic forming tank for electronic form and holography master origination is prepared. Step 4. In this we duplicate holography operation shim prepared in the previous step for embossing. The holography operation nickel shim is one absolute copy of master origination. Types of Holograms In the commercial world, there are generally, three types of holograms, film holograms, photopolymer and embossed holograms. Film Holograms : Wide web film holograms are commonly used for packaging, lamination, printing, gift-wraps, stickers etc. These are best to be used in packaging industry for flexible packaging of consumer items. Photopolymers Holograms : Photopolymer is the latest method of developing the holograms. It is recoganised by Polaroid and Dupont. Photopolymers have a plastic backing and are very effective for long production runs. The depth of image recorded in photo polymers is slightly less than that of silver halide; however, the images are brighter, with a wider angle of view.
